Astronaut Alan Bean with camera during Apollo 12 Lunar mission, November 1969. Apollo 12, the second manned moon landing mission carrying astronauts Charles Conrad, Richard Gordon and Alan Bean, was launched on 14 November 1969. It landed in the Ocean of Storms very near an earlier unmanned probe, Surveyor 3, which was visited during the mission. The mission stayed on the moon for 31 hours 31 minutes, and the total flight time was 244 hours 36 minutes and 25 seconds.
