Description

This view was taken by astronauts during the Apollo 10 mision. The Earth is shown appearing above the lunar horizon. Apollo 10, carrying astronauts Thomas Stafford, John Young and Eugene Cernan, was launched in May 1969 on a lunar orbital mision as the dres rehearsal for the actual Apollo 11 landing which took place two months later.
