Poster produced for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote rail travel to Lytham St Annes, Lancashire. The poster shows a young woman standing on the beach, with arms raised up toward the prominent cloud-streaked sky. Artwork by Charles Pears, a marine painter in oil who was an Official Naval Artist during the World Wars. He worked as a poster artist for rail companies and other clients and was also a book illustrator. Original artwork dimensions: 1016 mm x 1270 mm.
