One of the most popular exhibits in the Science Museum, the 'Grain Pit' in the Launch Pad contains a variety of mechanisms for transporting grain around a closed loop. The conveyor belt, vibro-conveyor, Archimedes' screws and the bucket lift are all powered by hand. The system works best when a team operates in unison, with everyone finding their own role.
