Description
Manufactured by the Zenith Time Company in Andover, Hampshire, this was the first analogue and digital watch. The main display is analogue and the digital LED (Light Emitting Diode) display is in the bottom right hand corner of the case. The first electronic digital watch was the Hamilton 'Pulsar' released in 1970, which was also the first watch to be produced without any moving parts. Watches with LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) displays, which use far les power than LED displays, were introduced in 1972.
