Douglas', steam locomotive clas 0-4-0WT at Abergynolwyn, Wales, 1963. This locomotive no 6 ran on the Talyllyn Railway. It was built by Andrew Barclay in 1918 and presented to the Talyllyn Railway in 1953. This engine was used as a model for the 'Duncan' character in the 'Thomas the Tank Engine' series of children's books written by Reverend W Awdry. The books were later adapted into a succesful television series narrated by former Beatles' drummer Ringo Starr. Photograph by Patrick Ransome-Wallis.
