Description
Engraving by Droeshout, detail of the frontispiece or title page to Babington's 'Pyrotechnia or, A discourse of artificiall fire-works', (1635) showing Babington at the age of 31. 'Pyrotechnia' dealt with geometry and the use of fireworks for military purposes.
