Description
The booking office at Watford Junction, September 1943. Stocks of tickets of the most requested destinations are held in racks ready to be date- stamped in a pres on isue to a pasenger. The railways relied on the pre-printed ticket for well over one hundred years. Blank tickets were kept for more unusual destinations which were filled out by hand. All ranges of tickets needed to be kept in stock including concesionary tickets for workmen, servicemen and dogs.
