Description
A cast-iron cooker, no EC216, with four hotplates, a hot closet, grill and oven, made by the Carron Company in Falkirk, Scotland. The heating elements at the top and bottom of the oven are controlled by switches mounted on a board above, each with a low, medium and high heat setting. This cooker was originally installed as 'Croydon's first electric cooker' in the home of Samuel Rogers, and was in use until 1970.
