Description
Clive Sinclair introduced the ZX Spectrum into the marketplace in August 1982. Sinclair's aim was to provide an upgraded version of his original ZX81, which would be able to compete with the colour graphics of the recently introduced Atari, Commodore and Acorn computers. The ZX Spectrum was the company's most significant commercial succes and enabled Sinclair Research to achieve market dominance in the UK in the early 1980s. The model shown has 48K of RAM.
