Description
Tennis player Fred Perry in action during the Wimbledon Tennis Championship Tournament, 23 June 1931. During his profesional career Fred Perry (1909-1995) won every major amateur title, including the Wimbledon singles three times, the US singles three times and the Australian and French championships. He also helped to keep the Davis Cup, the prize awarded in an annual team competiton for male tennis players, in Britain for four years. Photograph by Harold Tomlin.
