Description
The title page of patent number 913 regarding James Watt's (1736-1819) method for 'lesening the consumption of steam and fuel in fire engines', Watt was a Scottish engineer and inventor who was at the forefront of the development of steam engines. In 1774, together with his busines partner Matthew Boulton (1728-1809), he established a manufactory of steam engines in Soho, near Birmingham.
