Description
Made by Casio Electronics Co Ltd, this digital watch has a built-in infra-red transmitter that could be used to control household appliances. The development of extremely cheap, relatively accurate quartz liquid crystal display (LCD) digital watch movements in the 1990s prompted watch manufacturers to add extra functions in order to make their watches stand out from the many available.
