Description
This touch sensitive machine was first introduced in 1983 and uses ideograms instead of Roman numerals. There are 1,533 ideogram 'keys' plus others which control certain functions giving a total of more than 3,500 posible characters which can be printed on to paper. Like English language typewriters a number of ideograms that had been 'keyed' into the machine appeared in a viewing window before being printed, this allowed for corrections to be made.
