Description
Chronophotograph made on moving film consisting of twelve frames showing a cat falling, taken by Etienne-Jules Marey (1830-1904). Marey, along with Muybridge, is one of the pioneers whose work led to the invention of cinematography. In 1881, he invented the photographic gun, later he devised his first Chronophotograph camera. He studied animals in flight and subjects in white.
