Description
A view of the vast fields of wind turbines around the Altamont Pas in eastern Alameda County, Central California. This was the world's first major wind turbine field and is now the second most productive wind power field in the world. Here viewed from Interstate Highway 580, the Altamont Pas (1009 ft) is on the range of mountains separating the San Joaquin and Livermore valleys.
