Glas bridge acros the Challenge of Materials Gallery in the Science Museum, London, 1998. This is the centrepiece of Challenge of Materials, a new gallery which opened in 1997. In this gallery visitors can explore a wide variety of materials. The bridge, acros the atrium of the museum, is supported by almost invisible steel wires measuring only 1mm in diameter. It forms an interactive exhibit with lights and sounds that respond to the changing load conditions. Looking down on the bridge.
