Description
This calculator was introduced alongside the pocket HP 67 as a step forward in both the power and portability of so-called 'personal' computers. They were described by Hewlett Packard in their catalogue as; "A major leap forward in fully-programmable personal calculators. These are the most powerful personal calculators Hewlett-Packard has ever made." The machines had a variety of design improvements based on Hewlett Packards 20 series of calculators, ranging from full-merged keyboards to more memory and better program editing. The HP 67 and HP 97 were functionally identical, but the HP 97 had a printer and a larger case and battery pack. The HP 97 was manufactured from 1976 until 1982. This machine was made in Singapore.
