Description
Diagrams showing the face of the regulating or primary clock. Fixed to this is an ivory circle with studs of metal, inserted flush with its face. This corresponds to the number or group of clocks intended to be worked. Alexander Bain (1810-1877) was a Scottish clock and instrument maker and one of the pioneers of electric clocks.
