Description
Engraving by William Bromley after a drawing by Thomas Forster. Doctor Mesenger Monsey (1693-1788) was a physician at the Chelsea Hospital in London. In spite of his rough and eccentric manner, Monsey became chief medical adviser to the Whigs. Published by the 'European Magazine', 2 March 1789.
