Description
Stipple engraving by H Cook made in, 1847, after an original painting of 1527. Thomas Linacre, MD (1460-1524) was physician to Henry VIII, and founded the Royal College of Physicians. He was also a clasical scholar, a translator from the Greek, and the author of several works on grammar and medicine.
