Description
One of the original motor car headlamps made by H Salisbury and Sons Ltd, which has an acetylene generator combined with the lamp body. The body of the lamp is a horizontal cylinder with a concave mirror at its front end, and has a vertical cylindrical chamber to house the acetylene generator which is of the diving-bell type. The generator is fitted with baffles to prevent undue movement of the water, and is designed to be easy to take apart for refilling and cleaning.
