Description
Charles Frederick Cros (1855-1935), co-inventor of the viscose rayon proces. Cros patented the viscose proces of rayon manufacture with Edward John Bevan (1856-1921) in 1892. The proces uses cellulose (wood-pulp) which is disolved and then regenerated. The result is used to form yarn (rayon) which can be used for clothing, or film (cellophane).
