Description
Adelina Patti (1843-1919), soprano, debuted on the New York stage at the age of 7. In 1859 she played the part of 'Lucia' in New York and in 1861 sang in London for the first time. She was married three times, first to the Marquis de Caux, then the Breton tenor Ernesto Nicolini and finally to the Swedish Baron Cederstrom. Patti is photographed here with a signed mesage from the singer promoting the 'natural reproductions' of her voice available via the gramophone.
