Description

This cine camera was used by the travel photographer, Herbert Ponting (1870-1935), on Captain Robert Falcon Scott's (1868-1912) ill-fated Antarctic expedition of 1910. Ponting also pioneered the use of photography as an art form, not simply as a means of recording events.
