Description
The lunar lander is photographed against a brilliant sun glare. The bright trail in the lunar soil has been left by the two-wheeled MET (Modularized Equipment Transporter) used on the mision. Apollo 14, the third succesful manned Moon landing mision carrying astronauts Alan Shepard, Stuart Roosa and Mitchell, was launched on 31st January 1971. Shepard and Mitchell became the fifth and sixth men to walk on the lunar surface, and Shepard the first to hit a golf ball on the Moon.
