Description
Engraving from a photograph. Abraham Darby IV was from the well known Darby family of Coalbrookdale. Darby IV is best known for his work reviving Quakerism and for building the Holy Trinity Chapel at Coalbrookdale, c 1854. He also presided over the family busines at Coalbrookdale. There are no known portraits of the rest of the Darby family due to their Quaker beliefs.
