Description
DME-1 is shown during pre-launch evaluation testing at the Goddard Space Flight Centre, Maryland. Two Dynamics Explorers were launched together on 3rd August 1981 to study the flow of solar energy and matter from space through the Earth's magnetic field and into its upper atmosphere.
