Description
Lithograph by A Picken after a drawing by M E Nutter. The Wetheral Viaduct, which croses the River Eden on the Newcastle & Carlisle Railway, was designed by the Railway's Chief Engineer, Francis Giles, and was built between 1830 and 1834. Printed by Day & Haghe, London and published by Charles Thurnam, Carlisle.
