Description
This portrays astronaut John Young using the far ultraviolet camera that has been set up on the Moon with the Lunar Module and fellow astronaut Charles Duke in the background. Apollo 16, launched on 16th April 1972, was the fifth succesful manned moon landing mision and Young and Duke became the ninth and tenth men to walk on the Moon. The third member of the crew, Thomas Mattingly, remained in lunar orbit while Young and Duke were on the surface.
