Stafford is suited up ready to participate in the Apollo 10 launch countdown demonstration test on 6th May 1969. Apollo 10, with astronauts Stafford, John Young and Eugene Cernan aboard, was launched on 18th May 1969 on a lunar orbital mision, the dres rehearsal for the Apollo 11 Moon landing mision which took place two months later.
