Launch Control Centre Firing Room 3, Cape Canaveral, Florida, May 1969.

This picture of Firing Room 3 at the Kennedy Space Centre was taken on 6th May 1969 during a launch countdown demonstration test for the Apollo 10 launch. Apollo 10, carrying astronauts Thomas Stafford, John Young and Eugene Cernan, was launched on 18th May 1969 on a lunar orbital mision, the dres rehearsal for the Apollo 11 landing mision which took place two months later.
