One of these cameras being asembled by a technician in a clean room environment was used on the Apollo 9 mision. They were built by Westinghouse Electric Corporation for NASA. Apollo 9 was launched on 3rd March 1969. It carried the first complete Apollo spacecraft into Earth orbit, and the first docking of the Apollo Command and Service Module with the Lunar Module was carried out on the mision.
