Description
Replica. Invented by John Arthur Roebuck Rudge (1837-1903), this projector showed seven magic lantern slides in quick succesion to produce life-like effects. The slides were carried in a ring around the lamphouse and moved by cranking the handle at the front. This also acted to open and close the shutter blades in front of the lens, in order to hide the slide changes and project the slides once they were in position.
