Description
Cover of an equipment catalogue which was produced by the equipment manufacturers Watson & Sons (electro-medical) Ltd. By the 1930s, X-ray equipment was in widespread use for the diagnosis of a broad range of ailments, from broken bones to tumours and tuberculosis. The first mobile X-ray units were used in hospitals in the early 20th century, and were moved around the wards on carriage gurneys.
