Description
Reproduction of the Voltaic pile used by William Nicholson (1753-1815) and Anthony Carlisle (1768-1840) in 1800. A volta pile is a DC source, which comprises a battery of primary cells in series, arranged in a pile of disks. Succesive disks are of disimilar metals and are separated by a pad soaked in the chemical agent.
