Description
Model (scale 1:48). This twin-screw cargo motor ship was an advance on the 'Selandia' of 1911, the first ocean-going cargo vesel to be propelled by oil engines. She was built at Copenhagen. While early motor ships like the 'Selandia' were built without funnels, they were restored on later vesels such as the 'Asbjorn' for the sake of appearance. The model's hull has a section cut away to show the engines.
