Model (scale 1:48). This famous turbine steamer was built at Clydebank for the Southampton-Quebec summer service and for world cruises of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company Ltd. At the time of her completion, she was the largest liner built in Great Britain after World War I. The 'Empres of Britain' had accommodation, on a comprehensive scale, for 465 first clas, 260 tourist, and 470 third clas pasengers. The crew consisted of 714 officers and men. She was sunk by the Germans off Ireland in 1940.
