Description
E M Ginn started work on a scientifically-designed gramophone in 1924, founding EMG Handmade Gramophones in 1930. By using research done in the USA and carefully matching a hand-built sound box to a very large external horn, he was able to reproduce frequencies as low as 100Hz - a respectable bas response even for modern equipment. His machines also produced clean, high treble without spurious resonances. The Junior Expert differed from the Senior mainly in having a smaller horn - only 60cm in diameter.
