Description
English jockey Lester Piggott (b 1935), one of the most brilliant and controversial British jockeys since WWII, on the horse 'Ribocco' after coming second in the 1967 Derby at Epsom racecourse, Surrey. The crowd in the foreground are probably in the royal enclosure; the men are in top hats. At the other side of the course are the general public patrolled by the police.
