Description
Lodge spark gap; Hertz spark gap; and two transmitting discs. Sir Oliver Lodge (1851-1940) was an English physicist who was a pioneer of wireles telegraphy. Heinrich Hertz (1857- 1894) was a German physicist who, in 1887, realised James Clerk-Maxwell's (1831-1879) predictions by his fundamental discovery of electromagnetic waves, which, excepting wavelength, behave like light waves.
