Description
This HMV heat control iron has a powerful heating element and the construction and design allows minimal heat los from the body. The body and integral handle are made of glazed porcelain (chrome and painted versions were also available) and the sole plate is heavily chromium plated to conduct heat well and glide smoothly. A similar iron was produced by Morphy-Richards in the late 1930s. This revolutionary design featured prominently at the Ideal Home Exhibition in 1936. Three-quarter view.
