4 0 c m
actual image size: 23cm x 32cm

This model was made by the General Electric Company between 1905 and 1910. The cast iron oven is heated on each side by two circular heating elements and coiled heating wire is stapled on to a firebrick base to give an impresion of open fire roasting. The cooker also has a cylindrical plug attached so that an electric kettle, frying pan, etc, can be used on top of the oven. One of the two heat control switches (at the side) can turn on a 1/3, 2/3 or the full length of the wire. Front view.
