Description
Made using the Archer system, with heating elements of coiled wire wound around ceramic formers placed at top and bottom of oven. Sheet metal construction, on a steel frame. Made by General Electric Co, between 1895 and 1910. C H Archer 1900- 1910, was a GEC employee; patents never granted. Inscription etched on bras shield on oven door: ELECTRIC OVEN/ARCHER SYSTEM/VOLTS. NO/250/REGD TRADE MARK. Three-quarter view, door open.
