Description
Made by R J Rudd of Croydon, Surrey, this highly original pendulum clock allows the pendulum to swing freely for a whole minute without being controlled by the escapement. Instead, Rudd employed a subsidiary or 'slave' clock to deliver an impulse to the pendulum once every minute and to keep time during the intervals between impulses.
