Description
Model. Float glas was invented by Sir Alistair Pilkington (1920-1995) and first went into production in 1959. Molten glas is introduced into a molten tin bath. The glas floats on surface of the molten tin and cools gradually. This method allows the manufacture of glas from 0.3 mm to 25 mm.
