Description
A model (scale 1:10) of the aircraft in which the Wright brothers made the world's first power and controlled flights at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, on 17th December 1903. The brothers developed a flying machine and learnt to fly over several years using gliders before fitting an engine. The original Wright Flyer was placed in the Science Museum by Orville Wright in 1928, but was returned to the United States in 1948.
