Description
Poster produced for London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote rail travel to the East Coast of England. This poster is one of a series devoted to 'East Coast Frolics' and is entitled 'Those Drier Side Blues'. The poster shows a fish playing a saxophone and a crab playing a banjo. Artwork by Frank Newbould (1887-1951), who studied at Bradford College of Art and joined the War Office in 1942. He designed posters for LNER, Great Western Railway (GWR), Orient Line and Belgian Railways. Dimensions: 1016 mm x 635 mm.
