Description
Poster produced for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER), promoting rail travel to the Norfolk port and resort of Great Yarmouth, showing a view of the fishermen's almshouses. Built in 1702, the almshouses housed 20 fishermen and their wives (aged 60 and above), who had fallen on hard times. Artwork by Fred Taylor (1875-1963). Printed by Adams Bros & Shardlow Ltd, London and Leicester. Dimensions: 1016mm x 635mm.
