The Bentley Rotary engine was produced by Walter Owen Bentley, also known as 'W.O.' (1888-1971). His success started in the First World War with the successful range of rotary aero-engines. In January 1919 he went on to found Bentley Motors Limited, a British based manufacturer of luxury automobiles and large sportscars.
